Officially opening on the 31st December 1999, and taking its first paying passengers in March 2000, the London Eye (Formally known as the Millennium Wheel) is a major tourist attraction for London. It sits at the heart of the Southbank, alongside other attractions, such as the London Dungeons, owned by the operator @merlinentertainments.

Originally, the attraction was only supposed to be operational for 5 years due to the lease, but in 2002, it was granted permanent planning permission. To this day, it still draws crowds who look for a unique view over London.

In what can only be described as a stunning and flawless display, Neverland at Blenheim Palace perfectly captured the magic of Christmas and the playful antics of Tinkerbell and Peter Pan. Guests were immediately transported to London, where they were greeted by a giant clock face from Big Ben's tower. As Peter Pan and Tinkerbell flew past and the chimes rang, it marked the beginning of an enchanting journey through the transformed state rooms, with the added fun of spotting Tinkerbell and friends along the way.

When Christmas in Cambridge first appeared on our social timeline, we were immediately drawn to how it perfectly captured the festive spirit. Intrigued, we decided to visit this new event ourselves!

Christmas in Cambridge is filled with numerous bars decorated from top to bottom, an outdoor ice rink, festive food stalls, a Christmas market, a giant observation wheel, a carousel, and a Christmas tree maze. It's clear to see that this event is designed to cater to those seeking a festive experience with friends, family, and work colleagues. It's an ideal event for grabbing a drink and a bite to eat while browsing the many market stalls offering a wide range of gifts. Younger families are also catered for with informal meet-and-greets with Santa and festive workshops on selected days.
